Outreach and Events
One of the most important parts about being a FIRST Team is that we have the opportunities to host outreach events and initiatives. Furthermore, there are a vast amount of STEM-related events in the GTA that we love to attend and learn from. Here, you can find the events we're hosting and the events we recommend you come to! In 2019, we have won the highly prestigious Engineering Inspiration Award twice for our outreach!
STEAM Inspires
6 speakers sharing their journeys in STEAM fields, from synthetic biology to artificial intelligence in healthcare, startups, lab research, and more. The first event of its kind in Peel! Check out pictures, articles, and the recap video below.

Sparkin' Stem Conference
A conference for students Grades 5-8 to immerse them in the world of STEM through workshops, speakers, and fun activities! Sparkin' STEM 2019 was on November 16, 2019 at the Brampton City Hall and supported by the following sponsors: IBM, General Motors, the City of Brampton, Enlight, and Algoma University School of Business and Economics. With over 100 attendees, 30 volunteers and tons of booths,and special guests + speakers, the event was very successful! SPARK Hackathon
One of the largest high school student run 24-hour hackathons in the GTA! Workshops, mentors, guest speakers, keynotes, and more! SPARK 2019 was a HUGE success and we can't wait for SPARK 2020! #StartTheSPARK

Sparkin' Hope
We have raised $2,015.59 for the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto! Members of our team collected money from March - May to support families.
